Book Review: “Pushing to the Peak”

The skiing accident that put Dr. J. Glen House in a wheelchair during his college years should have been detrimental. However, Dr. House was determined. His unfading faith in Jesus Christ along with his strong will enabled him to continue living as an overcomer. What most people would consider a disability became his success-ability. He attended medical school, became a doctor, and he has raced wheelchairs up Colorado’s Pikes Peak. Those are just a few of his accomplishments.

His sister, Shelly tells his story beautifully in this book. This is one of the best books I have read, and I highly recommend it. It encouraged me as a legally blind person, but all readers will fall in love with this young man who refused to grumble and complain. It is an amazing testimony to our heavenly Father.
